My goal is to get to know you and your needs to help you
live a happier, more fulfilling life.
Hey, I’m Ashley. I look forward to working with you.
I’ve worked in various settings that include, inpatient psychiatric, community mental health, and forensics.
I’m a first generation Dominican-American
Where I’m from, there was little to no expectations of achieving success. I witnessed a lot of the day to day struggles in my community and made it my life’s purpose to help under-served communities find a way out, feel hopeful and believe that change is possible.
Because of my own cultural background, I understand the needs of our community, the misconceptions and beliefs around therapy. I’m here to show you that therapy is helpful and can be a life changing experience, if you’re willing to put in the work.
A bit about my approach:
I’m very empathetic in my approach and I don’t have my own agenda. I will never push you to talk about things you’re not ready to talk about, but I’ll point out if there’s something that we need to take a look at further.
I will go at your pace and work collaboratively with you in making sure you feel safe and comfortable along the way.
